Sage Tavern

The Sage Tavern, circa 1816, was once a tavern, boarding house and stage coach stop owned and operated by John and Mary Sage.  Among other chapters in its history, legend has it that Charles Dickens once spent the night at Sage Tavern.  A fine representation of the Federal style of architecture, the building has been home to Starbucks Coffee and the French Rendez-Vous since completion of the restoration by Ireland-May Ltd. in 2000.  That restoration work won Ireland-May Ltd. the prestigioius "Restoration Award" by the Cincinnati Preservation Association.
